SharePoint | Templates
I am writing down a few concepts regarding SharePoint template IDs, Names and related information so it can be clear. There are a couple of other posts around this, but they either show the WebTemplate IDs, or the Template Names, and showing all values seems to be easier to understand site templates and how we can use generic content conditions ("all sites of the Meeting template") or specific feature staplers ("all Team Sites").
Web Template Name (SPWeb.WebTemplate)
Name of the website's root template
e.g. STS, MPS, BLOG, WIKI
Web Template ID (SPWeb.WebTemplateID)
ID of the website's root template
e.g. 1, 2, 9, 4
Configuration (SPWeb.Configuration)
ID of the current site specific template
e.g. 0 for Team Sites
TemplateName (used for feature stapling)
Web Template Name + "#" + Configuration
e.g. STS#0 for Team Sites
Site Title / SPWeb Property
